Patriotic Snack Ideas Your Little One Will Love
Who doesn’t love holiday food? It is one of my favorite ways to celebrate!
Giving your child the opportunity to help cook and prepare food is a great way to teach a variety of skills.
They learn about measuring, practice fine motor movements with stirring and dumping, and you explore new words that will help build their vocabulary.
Here are a couple of festive recipes that I found that would be fun to prepare with your toddler:
Red, White, and Blue Trail Mix
Trail mix is a perfect snack on the go and an easy one to make with a toddler.
You could really use anything you wanted…as long as you include foods that are red, white, and blue.
Did I mention that I love this idea to work on colors with your little one? Perfect!

One of the best ways to teach children about anything…is to show them in a book.
Hit your library a couple weeks before the 4th of July so that you can teach them about the holiday is here.
This book is perfect for even your youngest little firecracker.
This board book tells a simple story about the 4th of July and has one of my all time favorite characters in it!

Have fun with dressing up in red, white, and blue.
Help your child look through their drawers to find the perfect patriotic outfit.
