Fostering a love books in young children is one of the best things we can do.
It provides us with an activity that we can bond and connect with our little ones.
It opens the door to discuss many different topics with our children and explore a world of imagination.

I am an avid reader myself and was very excited when Literati reached out for me to try out and review their book subscription service for kids.
First Impressions
This is the first time I have every tried out a book subscription service so I was excited to see what kind of books we would get.
What I did not expect was to see a beautiful piece of art on top with book labels that were made with my daughters name already included on each tag.
The little details and personalization of this box make it a very special experience upon opening.
At first glance I did not recognize any of the book titles.
As a family, we make lots of trips to the library so I was very happy when we received 5 books that I have never heard of or read!
What My Children Thought of the Box
My kids are ages 3 and 5 so I tried out the Club Sprout subscription which is for children ages 3-5.
I was surprised when both of my kids sat and listened while I read all five stories…without a break!
After reading the books they went to play on their own for about 30 minutes before asking me to read them all again!
Even with the age difference between my kids, they both were very interested in the illustrations and storylines of the books.
My Thoughts as an Early Childhood Educator and Parent
I have been working with children in early intervention for almost 10 years and early literacy skills are something that I work on frequently with the children on my caseload.
I really enjoyed all of the stories and especially the illustrations in these books.
Having interesting picture books for children is important for young readers because it also encourages them to look at books on their own independently.
There was also one book that we received that was very interactive which can be a great way to get little ones interested in books even for the busiest of little ones.
